01. fantastic!
That was everything you thought it would be and then some. You are more than willing to go again and again and again... after you catch your breath! And maybe enjoy some nice cuddling with a nap.

What you did was entirely impulsive. You didn't think things through and you really hope you didn't mess things up. You're so nervous, you don't even know what to do! It's hard to just relax and enjoy the moment when you want to freak out so bad.

Sex was a pretty normal form of release in the industry, and Kris was more than used to it by now. What he wasn't used to was this crushing, hollow feeling in his chest afterward. His fingers ran through the stubble on the sides of his head as he let out a long, shaky breath, finally offering a tight lipped smile at Jessica. Maybe the spark had flickered out in his absence, he mused silently, although he couldn't shake the background thought of there's a six year friendship gone down the drain. With a shake of his head he swung his legs over the side of the bed and pulled his sweatpants on in one motion, shuffling across the hotel room, shoulders hunched.

"You can go, if you want." His voice came out a little more gruff than he'd meant it as he searched deep into his pockets, eventually rescuing a cigarette. At the glass door to the balcony he paused, though, twirling it around in long fingers as he stared out the window, face contorting into a frown. He should have never come back.

It hadn't been bad. It was the opposite actually. Kris was more than amazing in bed and Jessica could honestly say she hadn't been with someone as good as he was in what felt like forever. She would've been happy to stick around and let one round turn into two, then turn into three and then turn into even more. Kris seemed to have a different agenda, though. The problem now was that, while everything was heated and passionate between them moments ago, things had quickly become awkward.

She was silent as she watched him move; getting up from the bed, walking across the room to the sliding glass door that led to the balcony outside, twirling the cigarette between his fingers. "What's that supposed to mean?" She spat out, a little more bluntly than she had intended to, the words leaving a bad taste in her mouth as they left her lips. Sitting up on the spot, the vocalist pulled the blanket up enough to cover herself, suddenly feeling so much more exposed as she stared at the back of Kris' head, as though she could somehow read his thoughts just by looking at him long enough.

The venom in her voice made him cringe, shoulders shooting up to his ears, and suddenly is cigarette wasn't as tempting anymore. He set it on the TV stand, along with the rest of the pack, before making it back to the bed in two long strides. Slowly and carefully, like he thought he might be shooed away, he took a seat on the very edge of the bed, gaze still pointedly directed away from her.

"Are you okay with...all of this?" After a long moment of silence he finally spoke up, turning just enough to gesture between the two of them. They'd never really discussed what they had outside of I'm free, you're free, let's fuck but it seemed like a silent agreement that dating at this point in his career wasn't completely unlike suicide. Something had changed in his two months masquerading as a normal person, he just wasn't sure what yet. When he'd worked up the courage he turned his head back fully, meeting her stare with a wide-eyed, unsure look of his own.

Jessica always found it amusing when she could get such reactions out of grown men. It made her feel like she was intimidating, in a way that she knew deep down she wasn't. When it all came down to it, she would probably cower under just the right gaze from Kris. But she'd be more likely to be the one to give him the look, rather than him giving it to her.

Was she okay with all of this? What exactly was this to begin with? It was something that had started out as a few questionable text messages between the two of them eventually led to a few heated meetings in dark rooms backstage, which eventually led them here. Secretly meeting one another so that they could end up in bed together. when had she turned into this kind of woman? "What do you mean, all of this?" She sighed heavily, breaking her gaze away from his so that she could look for something to cover herself with--a shirt, a hoodie, something more than the blanket she was clutching to her chest. "What is this, even?"

Eventually she found something, a shirt of his that hand been discarded off the edge of the bed and she leaned over to pick it up, quickly pulling it on over her body. She would've laughed had the mood not been so heavy, because the shirt was far too big for her and she felt it made her look like a little girl playing dress up. Maybe later she'd laugh about it, but not right now.
